Thanks to the generosity of Paul Hoskins at Permaculture Northern Beaches, and through the organisation of Angie Penn (a former BCG member), we will soon be the new proud owners of a native bee hive!
After splitting a hive in Mosman, Paul will help us set up the native bees in the garden later this year. If you are interested in knowing more about native bees prior to their arrival Permaculture Northern Beaches will be holding a Bee Keeping talk at 7pm this Thursday (further details here).
Paul will also be attending our October working bee on the 27th, to give us a short information and find a site for the hive.
Lets just hope the chooks don't get jealous!
